Frequently Used Terms
Collection Capacity
Collection Capacity refers to how much dirt & debris can be collected by each unit.
Amps
The max or average current rating refers to the maximum amount of current that a motor is able to handle safely. This current is measured in Amps. Amperage is the strength of the electrical current, measured in amperes. This is the draw of electricity required to operate the vacuum motor. A motor that uses more electrical current does not always mean the current is being used efficiently.
Air Watts
Airwatt or air watt is a measurement unit of the effectiveness of vacuum cleaners which refers to airflow and the amount of power (watts) a vacuum cleaner produces and uses.
Vacuum Seal H2O Lift
An H2O Lift or Water Lift is a "sealed suction" measurement to find the pure suction force of the motor. It is obtained by how many inches up a tube the vacuum motors intake can pull up, or lift, the water.
CFM
CFM refers the cubic feet of air moved per minute.
